Jigra actors Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina graced the first episode of season two of The Great Indian Kapil Show, and were joined by producer Karan Johar and director Vasan Bala. Post welcoming the guest for its premiere episode, the host Kapil Sharma inquired Karan about his look, to which he replied, “My look today is for my Ms Briganza aka Archana Puran Singh. I have dressed up for her today.”
The host also mentioned that KJo was the one to launch Alia and they share an amazing bond, and asked KJo about how he perceives his bond with the actress. “I am Yash and Roohi’s father but the first time I had the paternal feeling was with Alia,” he recalled.
The filmmaker recalled the time when they were doing look test for Alia, and were in a vanity van. The actress had not eaten anything for the past three days, as she was working on herself. “After the shoot, Soni [Razdan] and I gave her a cupcake… I told her that you are on the film and I am directing it. Alia got so emotional and her first question was ‘Can I eat this’, that is when I had that feeling,” stated Karan. He continued that ever since that moment, the actress has been his first daughter.
