Kangana Ranaut’s team lashed out on Swara Bhasker, accusing her of supporting Karan Johar. The entire debate started when Kangana went on to Koffee with Karan and spoke about nepotis. The tweet was a response to Swara defending Karan on the basis of nepotism. She said, he was gracious enough to respond to Kangana’s comments on Koffee With Karan and did not get them removed from the final cut of the episode.
Here are the Swara’s original tweet as well as Kangana Ranaut’s team response.
Let’s take a moment & acknowledge that @karanjohar took this question on the chin, & answered in a candid & honest manner not taking unwarranted personal offense. Let’s also acknowledge that he didn’t have the infamous #nepotism comment removed from his chat show which he cud’ve. https://t.co/XhEW5mBL7f

These tweets started a flak against Swara’s comment. Kangana’s tweet mentioned that when Kangana graced the show, Karan was a paid host and she was the superstar.
Swara shared a video where she asked Karan about casting star kids, much before Kangana’s now-famous Koffee With Karan episode. She wrote, “Oooooh! Look who started the fire !!!” She also said that the practice seems almost ‘feudalistic’ to her.
The debate around nepotism became the talk of the town after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. It has been alleged that he was avoided by the “Bollywood privilege club” as an outsider and was denied opportunities. Kangana took to her social media to stand up for him and calling out big names. She even called out Gully Boy receiving major awards, where as movies like Chhichhore deserved it.
On the other hand, Karan Johar is upset that no one is standing up for him from the industry. The filmmaker reportedly unfollowed almost everyone on Twitter with the exception of Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan.
