Kangana Ranaut is currently enjoying the promotion of her latest movie Emergency and has shared some funny incidents related to learning how to drive. Recently, the Queen actor in an interview revealed that while taking her first driving test to acquire a driving licence, she rammed an auto-rickshaw.
In an interview to Mashable india, Kangana said, “I tried learning to drive so many times, but both times I went for my driving test, I hit something. Deepika Padukone and I entered the Bollywood around the same time – her debut was in 2007, mine was in 2006. We were even in the same driving school back then, both living in Bandra at the same time.”
Describing her first driving test she said that she ended up hitting an auto-rickshaw. Upon the driver yelling, the actress realised that she hit the accelerator instead of the brake—twice! However, the auto driver ran away being assuming her to be “crazy”. Post that, Kangana gave up on driving.
Though the actress continued that she was once again motivated by watching Deepika drive her SUV five years later and thought of giving driving another chance but this time ended up ramming her BMW into a police jeep. Humorously, the actor mentioned how she got lucky that the policemen recognized her from her movie Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and since there was no damage to the police jeep they let her go.
