Kangana Ranaut and sister Rangoli Chandel summoned for the third time by Bandra police for hurting religious sentiments

Bandra police have summoned sisters Kangana Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel for making objectionable posts that hurt religious sentiments.

Actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister, Rangoli Chandel have been served a legal notice by Bandra police. The police have asked them to appear in the police station on 23rd and 24th November for the inquiry related to a case filed against the sisters for making objectionable posts on social media.

An FIR has been filed against them last month after receiving directions from a magistrate court in Bandra. A Bollywood casting director approached the magistrate to complain of the sisters putting up tweets that hurt religious sentiments.

Interestingly, this is the third time that they have been asked to appear before the police. The sisters failed to appear twice; once in October and once in early November.

The police have booked the sisters for promoting enmity between religions and hurting religious sentiments. According to Bombay Times, Kangana had requested the police to postpone the summon, since she is attending her brother’s wedding currently.
