The “Dilwale” actress Kajol made her OTT debut with the trilingual Netflix film Tribhanga in 2021. Now, according to the recent news, Bollywood actress Kajol is gearing up to arrive into long-format content with her upcoming web series “The Good Wife”. The show will be broadcasted from 18th July exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar where Kajol will be seen as a lady lawyer.
The show is an adaptation of the American drama television series “The Good Wife” starring Alicia Florrick who according to the plot of the story, enacts the life of the lady protagonist who is caring and affectionate for her family and two children in absence of her politician husband Peter, a former state’s attorney, who is now imprisoned for a sex and corruption scandal. The wife meanwhile, restarts her career as a lawyer and the episodes are followed by gradual cases to be solved by her.
“The Good Wife” started airing in the US in 2009 and came up with back to back seven seasons. The legal drama had an overarching spectacular storyline incorporating with interesting cases to be solved on an episodic basis.
On Thursday, Kajol Devgan in her respective IG handle shares a 30-second announcement video of the show where the video opens up with Kajol walking confidently into a courtroom and asks “Shuru karein?” (Shall I start?) The show’s tagline reads, “Pyaar. Kanoon. Dhokha.” (Love, Law, Treachery)

In an earlier statement about the show shared by the streamer, Kajol excitedly said : “Exploring new formats is always a challenge; but it’s a great thing as I love to take challenges head-on. Being an avid fan of digital series, the concept has always been intriguing. And, after following cool shows like Rudra and Aarya, I knew there was no other platform than Disney+ Hotstar to start my series journey.”
On the workfront, Kajol will also be appearing in Revathi’s next titled Salaam Venky alongside Ahana Kumra and Vishal Jethwa.
