“He normally lets us do what we want to do unless we ask for something very specific; then he gives advice. But he liked the film. He saw the film a few months ago and quite liked it,” said Junaid about his father, who is very selective when it comes to giving advices.
The star kid also shared his thoughts on joining the project, citing the strong narrative and the Yash Raj banner as its key attraction. He revealed that he was appalled by the story when he was approached by Aditya Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra for the film. “I really liked Sid sir’s part. The Yash Raj banner is significant, so taking on this project was an obvious choice,” he said.
The movie encountered a brief hurdle as its release was halted by Gujarat High Court. However, the court lifted the interim stay, allowing it to release on Netflix.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the reports have suggested that Junaid will be next seen opposite Khushi Kapoor in a romantic movie.
