Jaya Bachchan’s playful accusation against her husband Amitabh Bachchan has caught attention among the fans and sparked a conversation about their long standing relationship.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1973, showcased their loving yet humorous relationship when Jaya appeared on video call, during an episode on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
Humorously accusing Sr Bachchan of ignoring her calls, the veteran actress said, “I want to tell everyone that he has 5-7 phones. You call him and he never answers.” This playful note was met with laughter from the audience and it was agreed by their daughter and granddaughter, Shweta Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda, respectively.
Jaya elaborated that if something serious were to happen at home, the megastar scolds them saying that they should have called him, but “how do we contact you.”
The senior actress’ claim was supported by Navya as she shared her personal experience, wherein Jaya had informed about boarding flight on family group. While everyone had replied promptly, it was Big B who took four hours to come up with “Ok, Jaya, safe land” reply.
In his defense, Big B joked that he might have been in a no-network area. However, Shweta was quick to counter that he could have been busy being active on Instagram, writing his blog.
