Jawan FDFS: Shah Rukh Khan stays awake to see fans at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy’s 6 AM show

SRK fans took to the premises with banners of Jawan and chanted slogans like, “We love Shah Rukh Khan” and “Bharat ki shaan, Shah Rukh Khan”.

Fans of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan gathered outside Mumbai’s renowned Gaiety Galaxy theatre today to catch the first-day-first-show planned at 6 a.m. They stormed the set with Jawan banners and screamed slogans like “We love Shah Rukh Khan” and “Bharat ki shaan, Shah Rukh Khan.”

The love heaped on Shah Rukh by his fans did not go ignored, as he made it a point to respond to it. The Jawan actor took to X (previously Twitter) to express her gratitude to the fans for their support and generosity.

“Love u boys and girls I hope u enjoy the entertainment. Kept awake to see u go to the theater. Big love and thanks,” posted the superstar on X.

Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, arrives at a time when Bollywood viewers have returned to theatres in large numbers, thanks to Gadar 2 and OMG 2.

With Gadar 2 becoming the fastest Bollywood film to earn Rs 500 crore at the box office, industry and trade experts expect Jawan to maintain pace and break records as Bollywood attempts to put Covid troubles and the slum years behind it. Shah Rukh’s previous film, Pathan, had already lit the box office on fire, reestablishing King Khan as the undisputed ‘King of Bollywood.’

Fans are now ready to see Shah Rukh’s Jawan, and if the hype is any indication, Jawan seems destined to be one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters, with the film premiering on Janmashtami.

Jawan is described as a high-octane action thriller that “describes the emotional journey of a man determined to right the wrongs in society.”

Jawan, directed by Atlee, also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and a cameo appearance by Deepika Padukone. Key characters in the film include Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra.

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment production, produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. It was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
