Janhvi Kapoor to star in the remake of Malayalam film Helen, produced by father Boney Kapoor

Most people thought that actor, Janhvi Kapoor will make her entry in a film helmed by her father, Boney Kapoor. However, her debut film Dhadak was under the banner of Dharma Productions.

After her performance was liked by most people in Dhadak, she has received many films offers by different directors and producers. However, reports say that Janhvi will collaborate with her father, Boney for a film which will go on floors next year.

Pinkvilla’s source tells them that first they were planning to do a different film but have decided to remake the popular Malayalam film ‘Helen.’ The source quotes “Janhvi and Boney had announced a film called the Bombay Girl earlier this year. They were supposed to do that film first. But now, Boney has bought the rights to remake the popular Malayalam film Helen in Hindi. Janhvi will play the lead role in the Hindi version and step into the shoes of Anna Ben from the original.” The film is the story of an ordinary suburban girl who suddenly goes missing. She leaves her family in an ongoing search while she faces the ultimate battle for her life.

The shooting of the film will begin next and will be co-produced by Zee Studios. The pre-production has begun and will go on floors sometime in between January and March in 2021.

Janhvi’s upcoming project, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will drop on Netflix on 12th August 2020, skipping the theatrical release. She also has Dostana 2 with Kartik Aaryan and Roohi Afza with Rajkumar Rao.
