IT departments release official statements after raid at Actor Taapsee Pannu’s and Director Anurag Kashyap’s properties

The Income Tax department conducted a raid on Wednesday, 3rd March, 2021 at over 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune, including the premises of film director Anurag Kashyap, actress Taapsee Pannu, filmmaker Vikas Bahl, and Madhu Mantena.

The Income Tax department reveals that  it found discrepancy and manipulation of income during the searches at various places linked to actor Taapsee Pannu, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and his partners who launched the now shuttered production house Phantom Films. “Apart from this, non-genuine/bogus expenditure to related concerns by the leading producers/director having tax implication of about Rs. 20 crore has been detected.
