Is ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ postponed again?! Details inside

Actor Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ got postponed.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ film featuring Amir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be postponed, the filmmaker Advait Chandan last year announced that the film will not release on Christmas 2021 and said it will be released on Valentines’ Day 2022. Later, the director has changed his mind and is planning to release the film on 14th April co-simulating with Baisakhi 2022. Now according to the recent reports, the film has been postponed again.

This change in release date is happening because the makers are evading the clash with ‘KGF 2’, the sequence to the all-time highest-grossing film in the Kannada film industry – ‘KGF 1’. The action-drama film, starred by the famous actor Yash, had booked 14th April 2022 as its release date in August last year.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ makers don’t want to take the risk as it was seen previously at the time of Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was a success as compared to Ranveer Singh’s cricket-drama ’83’ although the film ‘83’ was released a week before the latter.

According to the information received by a source disclosed that the other reason for the postponement is that the final work in the VFX section is still pending in the Aamir Khan film and accordingly, there won’t be sufficient time left for the post-production.

The said source further added that the film might release around Diwali, but not the Diwali weekend as during that time Shahrukh Khan feature ‘Pathan’ whose an official announcement is yet to be made.

While talking about Aamir Khan’s film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is the official transformation of Tom Hanks feature Oscar-winning Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’. Shot across hundred locations in India, the film is piloted by Advait Chandan who has also directed Aamir Khan’s film ‘Secret Superstar’. This film will mark the Bollywood debut of south superstar Naga Chaitanya, who has been creating headlines ever since his divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu last year.
