Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief over popular singer KK who died due to a heart attack soon after his concert in Kolkata.

KK, who was embroiled in his live concert in Kolkata at a college, was found struggling to breathe and suffered a pain that later turned into a massive heart attack. He was soon rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. The singer was one of the most popular in the industry when it comes to his ever-growing fan following. As Bollywood mourned the loss, the singer’s popularity even pulled condolences and grief from the country’s highest political level.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his shock and disbelief through a tweet. PM Modi‘s Twitter handle mentioned, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions and struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
