Bollywood actress and Late Dilip Kumar’s wife, Saira Banu suffered from a minor heart attack, for which she was admitted to ICU in P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. Currently she is out of danger, as reported by the doctors. One of the senior doctors of the Hinduja Hospital have a statement, “Saira Banu is out of danger; she is stable. There is nothing to worry about. She is much better now and will be discharged soon.”
Earlier on the demise of her husband Dilip Kumar, Saira expressed her sadness, “God snatched away my reason for living. Without Sahab, I won’t be able to think about anything. Everyone, please pray”. The day of mourning was attended by mostly whole of Bollywood and politicians. Anupam Kher, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharad Pawar, CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray and many others.
Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar’s love story began when Saira was just a 12 year girl. But even at an innocent age she knew that Dilip Kumar would be her life partner. In an earlier interview Saira said, “I was not just another girl smitten by Dilip Kumar. For me, it was no castle in the air because I had given my dream the strong foundation of faith- faith in myself and faith in God. I am still head over heels in love with my Kohinoor, Yousuf Sahab, the way I was when I first felt attracted to him as a 12-year-old.”
The duo tied the knot in 1966 despite having a 22 year age gap between them.
