Original story writer of ‘Raazi’, Harinder Sikka, made some serious allegations on the director of the film Meghna Gulzar, for not giving him his credits and for ‘bulldozing’ his name from everywhere.

Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar has made her entry in a new controversy. The movie ‘Raazi’ which was released in the year 2018 and was directed by Meghna had received a lot of attention and love from people all over the world. The film was known and appreciated for its brilliant script, story line and of course for Alia Bhatt’s acting. But not many of them know that the film was actually based on Harinder Sikka’s 2008 novel called ‘Calling Sehmat’.

Recently, during a panel discussion on Republic TV, Harinder Sikka made some serious allegations on Meghna, claiming that the filmmaker removed his name from everything at the Jaipur Literature festival and did not give him his credits. Not only that the writer also added that his book was not allowed to be launched by Meghna.
Sikka further claimed that he has got proofs where the head of the literature festival quoted him few words by saying that his name has been ‘bulldozed’ into removing a person from everywhere. Talking about all the awards which ‘Raazi’ received for its story, he said that it was supposed to be given to him for the best ‘original story’.

In that interview, he also talked about the movie ‘Andhadhun’ receiving award for the best story. “That movie was a copy of a French book”, Sikka said. He added that Meghna also took away all the credits of the lawyer from Delhi, for the movie ‘Chappak’. He then adds that there is a history of mafia operating in Bollywood. Citing the reason behind whatever has been done with him, the writer says that all of this is because he happens to be an outsider. Sikka alleged that his movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ was supposed to go to the Oscars but this was not allowed.
