Recently, director Hansal Mehta complained on his official X handle about the hurdles that his daughter faced to get a Aadhar card. On X, the filmmaker said that his daughter has been congregating to the Aadhar Card in Mumbai for the last three weeks, in Andheri East, only to be rejected systematically by a senior manager. The situation was considered as harassment by Mehta who elaborated further the several reasons the manager came up with to prolong the process.
He explained that his daughter has received many such hurdles like they lie to her that some papers are not available or the stamps are placed at wrong places or she has come on a wrong day when they do not entertain any walk-in without an appointment. There has also been seen that the manager has also used the reason of personal leave in order to delay the work. Nonetheless, all the efforts she has put in including when they had to plunge through the monsoon rains and waking up very early in the morning the process is not yet over. Along the similar line, the director expressed his concern on X mentioning the office of CEO UIDAI and UIDAI Twitter handles.
In reply to that, the official UIDAI handle tweeted a general message of the following kind and requested to provide the complete address of the Aadhar Centre and contact details directly via the tweet to help further. Hansal replied back in the affirmative that he had forward the information that was sought by him.
