Gauri Khan, Dia Mirza, Shilpa Shetty, Bhavana Panday, among others had joined Malaika Arora at her mother’s home on Thursday to offer their condolences. Malaika and her family have been mourning the sad demise of her father Anil Mehta, who died on Wednesday.
In the recent videos, surfacing on social media, Gauri was spotted entering Malaika’s maternal home. Later, Bhavana and Dia were also clicked when they reached to pay their respects. Shilpa, Shamita, Farah Khan and her brother Sajid Khan and Malaika’s close buddies and colleagues Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis also came to be by her side.
On the second day of Malaika’s father demise, it was Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arbaaz Khan along with his wife Sshura Khan who paid visit to the Malaika’s house. Kareena, reported as a close friend of Malaika and her younger sister Amrita Arora cancelled a promotional event after Anil’s demise. She reportedly was going to be a special guest at an event held at Lido Cinemas on Juhu Tara Road in Mumbai on Thursday. However, the event has now been postponed.
Malaika, on Wednesday released a statement in an emotional tone requesting privacy as they navigate in these difficult times.
