As Ganesh Chaturthi approaches, star Shilpa Shetty Kundra kicked off the festivities by bringing Bappa home. Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra went to Lalbaug on Sunday evening to bring home the Ganpati idol.
The actor also posed for photos with Bappa. Shilpa posed along with her son Viaan and daughter Samisha, after bringing Lord Ganesha home. Shilpa looked gorgeous in a green anarkali outfit.
Ganesh Chaturthi commemorates Lord Ganesha’s birth. It is one of the most popular Hindu celebrations, lasting ten days. People believed that Lord Ganesha landed on Earth with her mother and Goddess Parvati during this period.
Shilpa was seen wearing a bottle-green anarkali outfit with a multi-coloured striped dupatta. She completed her desi style with a little bindi, modest shine, and her hair left open. Raj Kundra was seen wearing an orange kurta with denim and completely covering his face with a mask and an oversized hoodie.
The Ganesh Chaturthi festival will take place this year on September 19 and will last ten days until September 29.
Meanwhile, Shilpa is all eager for the premiere of her upcoming flick ‘Sukhee’. With a touch of comedy, the film tackles patriarchy and women’s emancipation.
Sonal Joshi makes her directorial debut with ‘Sukhee,’ which is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Shikhaa Sharma.
The film has been written by Radhika Anand, with the screenplay by Paulomi Dutta, and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 22.
Shilpa will also appear in Rohit Shetty’s OTT debut ‘Indian Police Force,’ alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. The series will be available on Amazon Prime’s OTT platform.
She will also appear as Satyavati in ‘KD-The Devil’ alongside V Ravichandran and Sanjay Dutt. The multilingual pan-India release will be available in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
