Education has always been seen as crucial to a person’s whole personality development and future prospects. While grades are given a lot of weight, people debate whether or not a decent education can lead to a successful profession. To deal with that, there are few greater examples than Bollywood celebs who abandoned their studies in the middle of their educational pursuits, took a risk, and went on to build incredible careers out of pure skill.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena did her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and Welham Girls School in Dehradun. She later enrolled in Mumbai’s Mithibai College to pursue commerce for two years, but she never finished her degree. Rather, she enrolled in a Government Law College, but she did not go through with that either. After a year, she quit law to go to Bollywood.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt began her career in film at a very young age. The movie “Student of the Year” directed by Karan Johar marked her debut. After completing her schooling, Alia decided to pursue acting.
Deepika Padukone
Although Deepika Padukone enrolled in Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru, she was forced to leave the school shortly after to concentrate on her modelling career. She then enrolled at the Indira Gandhi National Open University to complete her graduation in sociology, but she quit from there as well and went with her Bollywood dreams.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas
Priyanka finished her education at Army Public School in Bareilly before enrolling at Jai Hind College in Mumbai. But she dropped out of school to concentrate entirely on her acting career after winning the Miss World title in 2000.
Shraddha Kapoor
When Shraddha Kapoor received a role in the movie “Teen Patti,” she was already a psychology student at Boston University. She dropped out of her course to accomplish her Bollywood goals.
Katrina Kaif
Due to her mother’s lifelong commitment to social causes, Katrina Kaif experienced several foreign migrations as a child. She therefore struggled to keep up with her education and was mostly homeschooled. She also began receiving offers to model. At the age of fourteen, she chose to give up on her education and seek a career as a model.
