Star kids and outsiders have responded drastically to the never-ending debate about nepotism in Bollywood. Some strongly oppose nepotism as they believe it gives only certain actors an advantage over others, while others see it as an unavoidable fact of life that occurs in Bollywood as well as other sectors. Star kids frequently have their opinions on just about everything twisted and manipulated to fit an adverse narrative about nepotism. But occasionally, star kids have made some extremely arrogant and tone-deaf comments that are hard to ignore. These six famous children have uttered some of the most snobbish remarks, showing a sense of entitlement and privilege:
Alia Bhatt
In an interview with Mid-Day, Alia addressed the nepotism controversy while promoting Brahmastra and repeated the opinions of her mentor, Karan Johar: “I can’t keep defending myself verbally. And if you don’t like me, don’t watch me. I can’t help it. That’s something I can’t do.”
In another appearance, Alia once more downplayed her advantage as a star child, saying, “I want to punch all those people who say that star kids have it easy because it makes no sense. The way the world is today, either you have it or you don’t.”
Now Alia Bhatt arrogantly does a Kareena Kapoor : "If you dont like me, Dont watch me" Her movie Brahmastra us coming. Listen to her & dont watch the movie #AliaBhatt#BoycottBollywood #BoycottBrahmastra pic.twitter.com/W0Scj4kBr8

Kareena Kapoor
Alia Bhatt’s opinion on nepotism and trolls went viral, and people immediately started comparing her to Kareena Kapoor and her offensive remarks from 2020.
“The audience has made us, no one else has made us. Same people pointing fingers are the ones who have made these nepotistic stars right? Aap Jaa Rahe Ho Na Film Dekhne? Mat Jao. Nobody has forced you. So I don’t understand it. I find this whole discussion is completely weird.”
So Guys EVEN Kareena Kapoor is saying Dont watch their Films- Toh MAT JAO Dekhne #BoycottBollywoodFilms #BoycottBollywood #SushantSinghRajput pic.twitter.com/lZE1wosKxu

Ananya Panday
In 2020, Chunky Panday’s daughter went viral with a tone-deaf statement about being a star child and how privileged she was. Ananya said: “I have always wanted to be an actor. Just because my dad has been an actor, I will never say no to an opportunity to act. My dad has never been in a Dharma film, he never went on Koffee With Karan. So, it’s not as easy as people say. Everyone has their own journey and their own struggle.”
In the interview, Siddhant Chaturvedi also appeared. He silenced Ananya with a single statement that went viral right away: “The difference is ‘jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai (their struggle begins where our dreams are fulfilled).”
When Ananya Pandey started talking against Nepotism, Siddhant Chaturvedi had one the best replies for her.

Janhvi Kapoor
While promoting her movie Mili, Janhvi Kapoor was questioned about why she chose the work that she did. Janhvi said this in response to host Siddharth Kanan’s question on whether she chose certain parts to showcase her acting abilities to the public: “Sir ye duniya ke baare main itna hai nahi. Of course, main acting karti hun to give the audiences an experience. But I do it because mere liye yahi exciting hai. If it’s not challenging, phir main apne kala main aagey kaise badh rahi hun?…Famous hone ke liye nahi kar rahi, kaafi paps aajate hain gym ke bahar, hun main famous..”
Many on social media took exception to this and called her a “snob” for making such a statement.
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor is notorious for disparaging other members of the profession and making contentious remarks about her fellow performers. In an embarrassing and awkward interview with Rajkumar Rao, she discusses her “struggling” to help Sanjay Leela Bhansali while sarcastically mentioning other people she knew, such as Subhash Ghai and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Her opinion on nepotism, however, is difficult to see.
She made another tone-deaf remark about the matter on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show, Pinch:
Karan Johar
Karan Johar talks about how he handles trolls in a video clip that became popular on Reddit, and it’s not a good picture.
This is what he stated: “Watch it if this is your scenario and scene and don’t watch it if you don’t want to. Nobody is forcing you and putting a gun to your head and that’s what I feel. So, I don’t take trolls very seriously.”
