Ed Sheeran posted a video from his India vacation on his YouTube page, in which he is seen enjoying a day out in Mumbai. He was joined by comedian and YouTuber Tanmay Bhat and cricketer Shubman Gill.
During their talk, Ed mentioned that he was delighted to see Shah Rukh Khan the same day, and Shubman mentioned that he used to play for his IPL side, Kolkata Knight Riders. He then asked Ed to question why he was not kept on the squad.
Ed was seen on the YouTube video in a restaurant with Tanmay and Shubman, trying out Indian cuisine. He went on to say: “I am going to see Shah Rukh Khan tonight for dinner.” Shubman responded, “I used to play for his team.” When Ed expresses wonder that Shah Rukh has a team, Tanmay says that he owns an IPL franchise called Kolkata Knight Riders, where Shubman formerly played.

Shubman went on to say, “Ask him why they did not retain me.” At this time, all three of them start laughing together. Ed goes on to say that he had previously met Shah Rukh and has seen a number of his moves. “When I am travelling a lot, there’s always a Bollywood section on flights. So yeah, I’ve seen quite a few.”
