Emily Ratajkowski opens up on recycling her engagement rings as divorce rings

Emily Ratajkowski might have ended her marriage, but she has not break up with her diamonds.

The model opened up in a recent interview with Vogue that she recycled her past engagement rings from ex-husband, film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard and dubbed them as “divorce rings.”

“I don’t think a woman should be stripped off her diamonds, just because she’s losing a man,” said Emily and also mentioned that the rings represent her own personal evolution.

The model shared that she chose to repurpose her rings from Sebastian, with whom she had separated in 2021, post reading her friend Stephanie Danler’s essay ‘The Unravelers’ in The Paris Review. She explains that the essay is a story about a grandmother’s snake ring, which is made of different stones from her various marriages.
