
Though Dune is yet to drop in, the director Denis has recently mentioned the cinematic sequel of the film with none other than Zendeya essaying the lead role as opposed to actor Timothy Chalamet who’ll be the protagonist of the project.
The director in an interview seemed ecstatic about the second sequel and disclosed some details. The Frat Herbet’s novel based film Dune will feature Timothee Chalamet in the role of Paul Atrides while Zendeya will be in Chani’s shoes.
The sequel’s storyline is said to have Chani as the main focus according to Villeneuve’s interaction with Italian magazine I1 Venerdí di Republica.
The director said he can’t wait to shoot the sequel of Dune with Zendeya and Timothee in a chat with Screen Rant.
Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, Dave Bautista, Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem would be in key roles apart from Chalamet and Zendeya.
After the caused by the corona crisis, the film will hit the theatres by this year’s 3rd of September.
Along with Dune in the headlines, Zendeya has another film lined up from the Marvel Universe, Spiderman Noway Home where she’ll be sharing the screen with Tom Holland which is said to be released in December this year.
