Deepti Naval undergoes angioplasty in Mumbai, to be discharged soon

Actor Deepti Naval suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty at the Fortis hospital in Mohali, her condition is stable now.

Legendary actor, Deepti Naval suffered a heart attack on Sunday, 18th October. The actress in currently in Manali and has been admitted in the Fortis hospital in Mohali, where she was brought through a cardiac care ambulance.

The 68 year old Indian-American actress was residing in Rohtang since last month, and the actress underwent angioplasty at the Fortis hospital. Coronary angioplasty is a procedure used to open clogged heart arteries. According to IANS, the doctors have said that her condition is stable and is likely be discharged soon.

Naval spearheaded her career in parallel cinema with films like, her debut with Shyam Benegal, the 1978 film “Junoon” and went on to feature in “Chashme Buddoor”, “Ankahee”, “Mirch Masala”, “Firaaq”, “Memories of March”, “Listen Amaya”, among others.
