Deepika Padukone has landed herself into a turmoil after her name has been dragged in the highly investigated drug nexus case by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The Bajirao Mastani actress name surfaced in the case along with actors Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh. Deepika has been summoned by the agency to record a statement in the case after her alleged drug chats came out in media.
And now as per the recent update, the actress who had taken a charter flight from Goa to Mumbai has arrived in the city. Deepika was seen in Mumbai airport with her husband Ranveer Singh. While there were reports that Deepika will be appearing before the agency tomorrow, as per ANI, she has submitted to join the investigation on 26th September. Mumbai Police has increased the security near Deepika’s Prabhadevi house and even in the airport.

For the unversed, Deepika was in Goa shooting for Shakun Batra’s unnamed directorial. She will be seen sharing the screen with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi for the first time in the movie.
