On Monday, 22th March, the film Chhichhore won the prestigious 67th National Film Award in the Best Hindi Feature Film category.
The film was a favourite amongst the audiences, who made sure that it performs well at the box-office. Now, after the win, actor Tahir Raj Bhasin has expressed his feelings.
The film plays on the themes of friendship and college life and revolves around Anni (played by Sushant) and his college buddies. It showcases how their lives undergo major changes after they all graduate. One part of the film shows the friends in their college and how they strive to win a competition and the second part features them all grown up.
Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin, who played the part of Derek in the film, also dedicated the big win to the late actor. He said that today is the day of “gratitude for Sushant without whom this story would never have been told.”
While talking about the National Film Award win, the actor said, “I feel incredibly grateful to have played the part of Derek and been a part of Chhichhore. It will always be a special film to me. Nitesh Tiwari and Sajid Nadiadwala captained this ship, and it was an ace team to have been on. The film was about never allowing society to decide if you are a winner or a loser but fighting the very notions of these labels and finding your own happiness.”
Even actor Varun Sharma recently took to his Instagram handle and posted a vibrant photo of himself with the entire gang of his movie, Chhichhore.
Many fans even remembered Sushant Singh Rajput who was the lead actor of the movie.
‘Chhichhore’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also starred Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma among, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Saharsh Kumar Shukla and Tushar Pandey in pivotal roles.
