BTS Suga donated 100 million won to pediatric cancer patients in Daegu on his birthday

BTS Suga aims to create an environment where ailing children would be able to grow healthy. On his birthday on March 9, he donated a whopping 100 million KRW for the treatment of pediatric cancer patients.

BTS is a global sensation, thanks to its great music and ever-growing fandom. The biggest boy band in the world is known for their philanthropist activities which they do from time to time. And, this time it’s Suga aka Min Yoongi, rapper-producer-songwriter had made a huge donation while he celebrated in 28th birthday on March 9.

Media outlets have reported that they have found a nameplate with Suga’s name on it at the Keimyung University’s Dongsan Medical Center which is located in Daegu. As per the nameplate, Suga had donated 100 million KRW which is around 65 lakhs INR. He donated it to the hospital for helping children who have been diagnosed with cancer. The hospital also confirmed the information that the singer had donated on March 9. The director of the hospital was grateful for the kind gesture and said that BTS’s generousness could be a good influence on society. The hospital also said that Suga wishes that these children will be able to grow and heal in a healthy and positive environment.

However, this is not the first time that a Bts member has given back to society. BTS’s J-Hope has also donated scholarships worth 100 million KRW to a school in his hometown which has been helping several students achieve their dreams. Suga had earlier also celebrated his birthday by doing charitable acts like last year, Suga had donated 100 million won to help the residents of his hometown from the coronavirus pandemic. In 2019, he had donated 100 million won and 329 dolls under the name of his official fan club. And, many other members have been donating from time to time to society.
