India leading youth entertainment platform MTV has always been at the forefront of inspiring positive change and channelling the power of collaboration.
As the first part of the chapter, the brand in collaboration with an online e-commerce platform that supports fundraising for social causes has launched MTV No Fever Sale – A celebrity closet fundraiser.
The ‘MTV No Fever Sale’ will let fans shop from the closets of renowned Bollywood singers, actors, designers, models and influencers such as Rannvijay Singha, Taapsee Pannu, Shilpa Shetty, Sunny Leone, Raftaar, Sushant Divgikar, Terence Lewis, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Neha Sharma, Varun Sood, Divya Agarwal, VJ Gaelyn, Nikhita Gandhi and many more.
The initiative themed ‘Shop for a cause’ is an endeavour to mobilise the youth of the country and utilize their love for shopping for the greater good.
Talking to mid-day, Taapsee Pannu said, “Given the times we are in, every contribution towards the betterment of society and the planet is worthwhile. When we emerge from this pandemic, we don’t want an environmental crisis to hit us. That’s why a habit of conscious shopping helps. I’m happy to have gotten the opportunity to contribute a few special pieces from my wardrobe for the MTV No Fever Sale. Shop for a cause. We’re in this together.”
Sushant stated, “In times like these, it is important to be united and support in whatever way we can. Covid-19 has impacted many lives and I feel it’s my duty to help people in need. I’m delighted to be a part of an initiative that not only extends help to the larger community during the pandemic but also encourages the need for sustainable living through pre-loved shopping.”
