Poonam Pandey’s sudden demise on the 1st of February has sent shock waves throughout the film industry. The actress was 32 years old and the cause of death was known as cervical cancer. The news came to light with an Instagram post updated on her official account.
According to reports, Poonam Pandey died in her hometown Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The actress is receiving heartfelt condolences from her industry friends and family members.
The actress even made her presence on Kangana Ranaut’s show Lock Upp and was viewed as one of the strong contestants. Bigg Boss 17’s winner Munawar Faruqui was also a part of the Lock Upp show before appearing in Bigg Boss. He even won the show Lock Upp.
Munwar and Poonam Pandey were close on the show as they worked together. The actress supported him throughout his journey in Bigg Boss and was a humble friend. Poonam even congratulated Munawar after his win in Bigg Boss 17.
Poonam even praised the way Munwar played his game in the reality show. She stated that she knew Munawar would win because of how sharp his brain is. Lock Upp show’s host Kangana Ranaut also reacted to Poonam’s sudden death. She took to her Instagram Stories and captioned by writing, “This is so sad, loosing a young woman to cancer is a catastrophe Om Shanti”
Other industry friends such as Shivam Sharma, Aly Goni, Daisy Shah, Pooja Bhatt, Ali Merchant, Karanvir Bohra, and Karan Kundrra among others have expressed their shock on the actress’s demise.
