Actress Bhumi Pednekar has completed 32 years of her age, today. In conversation with IANS, the environmentalist expressed her birthday wish. She said that our generation should start restoring the planet. The actress also mentioned that she will continue doing good work and won’t disappoint her fans.
Bhumi said, “I think my wish definitely would be that our generation should be the generation that starts restoring the planet because that is most important. I truly wish that we address the dangers that we are challenged with and take steps to rectify them and that can only happen if we all change the way our perspective towards our planet is.”
Further, she added, “We have to realize that everything is limited and one day if we don’t stop, we will be done and over. For my career, my wish is that I continue doing good work and I continue breaking boundaries. The loyal fan base that I have created over the years I want to make sure that I don’t disappoint them.”
Bhumi Pednekar has always been at the forefront to fulfill her social responsibility. The actress also created awareness about climate change and launched the initiative called Climate Warrior. She has been a part of the global initiative – Count Us In, initiated by a diverse group of organizations, and counting with the support of former UN Climate Chief, Christiana Figueres.
The actress made her Bollywood debut with the 2015 movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, with Ayushmann Khurrana. Breaking all the stereotypes, the actress played an overweight character in the movie. Since then, she was seen in several path-breaking roles in movies like Saand Ki Aankh, Bala, and Sonchiriya. Bhumi will be next seen in the movie, Takht, directed by Karan Johar, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. She will also be seen in Mr Lele with Varun Dhawan.
