Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! actress Saumya Tandon flies off to London for an acting course

Famous TV actress Saumya Tandon is all set to fly to London for a month acting course. Saumya is most famous for playing the character of Anita Mishra on &TV’s serial, Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!

There are very few serials which become so famous that it influences the daily life of the audience. One such TV serial was &TV’s Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! whose characters became household names with people mimicking the dialogues and lingo of the characters. The main characters of the show are Anita Misha played by Saumya Tandon, Vibhuti played by Aasif Sheikh, Angoori played by Shubhangi Atre and Manmohan Tiwari by Rohitash Gaud. Saumya Tandon however left the show a few months ago, the reason cited was that she wanted to explore new areas in acting.

Currently, Saumya is all set to embark on her journey to London for a one-month acting course. In an interview with Hindustan Times Saumya explained that reason why in spite of having a successful TV career what was the need for an acting course. She said, “It is like an accent training workshop, and then other things. That is something I want to do. Of course, my family will be there, so I will get to be with them, that’s the plan. I am just waiting for some formalities to finish.”

She described how her urge to face the camera has decreased with time, now she prefers quality over quantity. Her words were, “What I feel is that for me, the need of being in front of the camera every single day, is not there anymore. There was a time when you were not working for a month or two months, and you would just feel insecure, thinking ‘oh I have to get back’. For me, what’s more important now is that even if I do one project a year, they have to be good ones,”
