Munawar Faruqui, the Bigg Boss 17 champion and standup comedian, was admitted to the hospital on Friday (May 24). One of his pals published the news of his hospitalisation on social media. Munawar was hospitalised a month ago and is still not doing well.

His pal posted a photo on his Instagram account showing Munawar laying on a hospital bed. An IV drip is connected to his hand. The pal captioned the photo: “Wishing all the strength to my brother @munawar. Faruqui get well soon.” However, it is unclear why the stand-up comic was rushed to the hospital.

According to widespread speculation and media reports, the BB17 winner has been diagnosed with a small intestine infection. However, Munawar, his family, friends, or the team have yet to confirm the same.

Fans hoped for Munawar’s rapid recovery after hearing about his illness. Social media sites have been flooded with “Get well soon” messages for Munawar.

After being released from the hospital last month, Munawar uploaded a photo of himself hooked up to an IV drip. Along with it, he added, “Lag gaye nazar.” Later, when delivering an update on his condition, he stated, “Shukriya, pyaare messages ke liye.” Recovery ho rahi hai; dua karte raho.”

Munawar is currently enjoying the affection he is receiving from his followers. His popularity skyrocketed after winning the Bigg Boss 17 trophy. He has previously made news for openly discussing a wide range of topics, including politics and religion.

Munawar, who previously won the reality show Lock Up, won Bigg Boss 17 in January 2024, defeating finalists Abhishek Kumar, Ankita Lokhande, and Mannara Chopra.

Meanwhile, on April 11, Munawar announced his acting debut on Instagram. He published a preview for his upcoming film, titled ‘First Copy,’ which has undoubtedly piqued the interest of his followers.
