2019’s popular comedy-drama film Good Newwz was a hit, sharing modern problems and solutions to it. The movie featured Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. The film revolved around two pairs of couples, who were having problems conceiving a child.
Karan Johar, who produced the film is now back with yet another quirky drama. He shared the details about the upcoming project on his social media. Karan shared a reel, featuring Triptii Dimri, Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk. The film is titled Bad Newz.
The recently uploaded reel shows Vicky and Amy trying to impress Triptii. They are in a pursuit to woo her. The first key visual even showed the two main leads kissing her cheeks. The reel even had a description stating, “From the makers of Good Newwz. A comedy inspired by true events.”
As soon as the announcement was made, fans went ga ga over it. A user wrote, “The trailers for your upcoming movie has left me counting down the days until its release!” While another stated, “This looks chaotic already can’t wait to meet you in theatre.” A netizen stated, “What a news paaji looking forward to it.”
The upcoming movie is scheduled to release on the 19th of July this year. This will also mark Triptii’s first-ever collaboration with Vicky Kaushal. The film is directed by Anand Tiwari, who is known for his works in Bandish Bandits. It is produced by Dharma Productions.
Triptii Dimri aced her performance in her last movie Animal. The actress received an immense fan following post the film’s release. She was being called the Bhabhi 2 and a national crush by the audience.
