Zaheer Iqbal, an Indian actor known for his roles in Notebook (2019) and Double XL (2022), arrived at Lilavati Hospital after the tragic shooting of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique. Iqbal, born on December 10, 1988, is now married to famous Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. His visit underscores the strong ties Siddique had with Bollywood, especially through his widely attended annual iftar parties, where stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were regular guests.
Baba Siddique, a prominent political figure, was shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra East by unidentified gunmen. The Nirmal Nagar police have detained two suspects, with the investigation ongoing. During the attack, a person accompanying Siddique was also injured and is undergoing treatment.
Siddique, who recently joined the NCP after leaving the Congress party, had served three terms as the MLA for Bandra West and was known for his influence both in politics and Bollywood circles. His death has left the community in shock, and his son, Zeeshan Siddique, currently the MLA for Bandra East, is overseeing the next steps alongside the ongoing police investigation.
