Ayushman Khurrana comes on board for Sourav Ganguly’s biopic, film is helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane   

Ayushman Khurrana is gearing up for his upcoming sports biopic. The movie is based on the life of the cricket legend Sourav Ganguly. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film is highly anticipated by the masses.

Producers Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg have roped in Ayushman and Vikramaditya for the biographical film, which marks the collaboration of two successful talents.

Sourav Ganguly is known for his left-handed batting style and Ayushman resonates with it, which will be a perfect fit. The filmmaker Vikramaditya is well-known for his incredible works such as Udaan and Lootera. Now with this upcoming film, fans are holding high hopes for the actor and director to deliver a masterpiece.

The talks for the leading actor of the film were in buzz for almost a year. Though, Ayushman was at the top of the producer’s priority. Now, it has been known that he has signed the film and the shooting for the same will begin in 2024. He will undergo immense cricket training and prepare himself to embody the character.

Vikramaditya was also the first choice as the director and he was offered with the film. However, due to prior commitments, he went on to pass the film. The producers had then taken into consideration the Tamil director Aishwarya Rajinikanth. However, according to recent reports, Vikramaditya has been called back for the project.
