A special Mumbai court on Wednesday denied the bail plea of Aryan Khan. Bail applications of two other accused – Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, were also got rejected.

A special Mumbai court on Wednesday denied the bail plea of Aryan Khan. Bail applications of two other accused – Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, were also got rejected.

However, seven others including Aryan’s friend Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha were apprehended by the NCB on October 3. Aryan is now lodged in Arthur Road prison in Mumbai, post apprehension by the NCB following the alleged drug seizure from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2.

Meanwhile, in the previous hearing on October 19, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Anil Singh, appearing for the NCB, had an argument as well. He added that there was need to take a “serious view” of drug abuse among youngsters, and that the principle of innocent until proven guilty does not apply under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. “The present applicant (Aryan) is not a consumer for the first time. The evidence placed before the court shows that he is an active consumer of contraband for the last few years.

As per reports, lawyers will move to High Court as bail application of all three accused denied. The lawyers of the three accused (Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha) will move the High Court as Mumbai Sessions Court has rejected their bail plea, around 02:49 PM on Wednesday.
Recently, NCB’s Sameer Wankhede issues first response after court denies bail applications of Aryan Khan and two other accused.

However, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede said, ‘Satyamev Jayate’ after the rejection of bail pleas.
