Arrest warrant against PAK actress Saba Qamar, accused of shooting dance video in a mosque

Lahore Police registered a case against Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed under section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Saba and Bilal are accused of allegedly desecrating Lahore’s mosque Wazir Khan by shooting a dance video.

Pakistan court has issued an arrest warrant against Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. This warrant has been issued for shooting a dance video in a historic mosque in Lahore. Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed did not appear in many court hearings, so the magisterial court of Lahore issued a bailable warrant. Now the court has adjourned the hearing till October 6.

However, Previous year Lahore Police registered a case against Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed under section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Saba and Bilal are accused of allegedly desecrating Lahore’s mosque Wazir Khan by shooting a dance video. According to the FIR, both the actors had shot a dance video in the mosque, due to which there was a lot of controversy. The Punjab government had also sacked two senior officers for violating the sanctity of the mosque.

After the controversy escalated, Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed also apologized for it. Saba had clarified and said- “It was a music video with a marriage scene. No playback music was used while shooting it. Not even it was edited in the music track.”

Saba has also worked in Bollywood films. She was seen in the film Hindi Medium with Irrfan Khan, which was highly appreciated.
