The Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap finally spoke about the infamous debate over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview with NDTV, Kashyap stated that an actor’s success depends on the choices being made and adds that Sushant had made some good choices in his career. Kashyap further added that Sushant Singh Rajput was a talented actor and he had approached him for his film ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’.
The Gangs of Wasseypur director revealed that he had approached Sushant twice for his films and on both the occasions the late actor denied his offers, and this was the reason Kashyap did not approach the late actor again.
Kashyap further mentioned how Sushant opted to act in the film ‘Drive’ over a movie which was offered by him, emphasising on the point that he was not bitter about it and had moved on from that point believing that, “Sushant Singh Rajput made the choices for his film career, just like any other actor would do.”
The filmmaker then goes on to add that Sushant Singh Rajput, in his career, has chosen and done some amazing films like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story and PK. While answering the question over the insider versus outsider debate the filmmaker stated that “Today, the audience has the power of validation. The audience can go and empower an outsider by watching his/her films.”
