Anil Kapoor to play Subrata Roy in his biopic named Saharasri- Report

Subrata Roy’s sudden demise on the 14th of November has sent shock waves throughout the nation. Many celebrities from the film industry paid tribute to the business tycoon and poured in their heartfelt condolences.
The visionary behind Sahara Pariwar, Subrata Roy has been a renowned personality throughout the spectrums. Now again, after his death, there has been talk of creating a biopic on his life. Producers Sandeep Singh and Dr. Jayantilal Gada along with filmmaker Sudipto Sen announced the film Saharasri on Roy’s birthday.
The film’s announcement was made on the 10th of June this year which marked Roy’s 75th birthday. The upcoming biopic will have music composed by AR Rahman.
As per reported by Bollywood Hungama, it has been known that Anil Kapoor will be playing the role of Subrata Roy in Saharasri. As of now, there is confirmation that Anil Kapoor is being sceptical about playing certain controversial aspects of Roy’s life.
On the work front, Anil Kapoor is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Animal. The movie will be released on the 1st of December this year. Based on an action thriller, the film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, and Bobby Deol.
