Allu Arjun arrest: Telangana police issues clarification over Sandhya Theatre’s viral letter of deployment ahead of Pushpa 2 release

Post the arrest of Allu Arjun in connection to Sandhya Theatre stampede case, a letter from the theatre management requesting police deployment has emerged online. The Telangana police have since responded to the matter.

As reported by India Today, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the Central Zone of Hyderabad issued a statement clarifying the situation. Reportedly, the Sandhya theatre had requested the ACP to provide bandobust as they had expected a major rush on the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule.

In response to the letter making rounds on the internet, the DCP explained, “This letter circulating in the media was a request for security arrangement for the release of Pupshpa 2. Similar requests are common for events involving political figures, film stars, or religious activities. However, due to limited resources, it is not possible to provide security for all such events.”

Earlier in the day, Allu Arjun was arrested in connection to Sandhya theatre stampede case, wherein a 35-year-old woman lost her life. However, just a few hours post the arrest, the actor was granted interim bail by Telangana High Court for four weeks.
