Allu Arjun was basking in the success of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, however, things took a drastic turn when he was arrested on Friday morning in connection to Sandhya Theatre stampede case, where a woman lost her life. The actor has unannounced made a visit to the particular theatre on December 4 to attend a screening of his latest film, Pushpa 2. The incident caused a stampede, causing a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, her life.
Now, FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) has come out in support of the actor. The President, BN Tiwari, said, “We condemn the arrest of Allu Arjun, and the way he was arrested like a criminal. He is an actor, and if he has to visit cinemas to meet his fans, it was the responsibility of the cops and theatre security, to take care of the fans that were gathered to meet him.”
“Although we sympathise with the family of the late woman, but we don’t think a star has to be blamed for it,” noted the statement.
As reported by Hindustan Times, Allu Arjun in a viral video can be heard saying to the cops that barging in his bedroom for arrest is “too much.”
