Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina will be gracing the season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix for the promotion of their upcoming film Jigra. The actors will be joined by producer Karan Johar and director Vasan Bala. On the episode, Alia is expected to address her marriage with Ranbir Kapoor, and talk about how KJo played as a Cupid in their love story.
The host Kapil Sharma playfully teased KJo about his reputation as a matchmaker in the industry, saying, “Some people believe you run a marriage bureau in the industry.” He responded with a laughed and said that while he has helped many people find love, he is still single.
The Darlings actress shared her experience and said that KJo has a “sixth sense” when it comes to relationships. She revealed that it was Karan who predicted that they (Alia and Ranbir) would become a great couple, when they were just friends. Karan added, “I knew it! I knew their friendship would blossom into something special, and it would last a lifetime.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, post Jigra, Alia will reportedly start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie Love & War, wherein she will share screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
