Alia Bhatt quits Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan, will not play Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram: Reports

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan is backed by one of the prominent visual effect companies in the world.

Following Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Bollywood power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were said to be working together again in Nitesh Tiwari’s forthcoming production Ramayan. Alia was reportedly cast in the part of Sita, while Ranbir was cast in the role of Lord Ram. However, a rumour that Alia walked out of the movie is doing the rounds in the media.

According to Pinkvilla, Alia, who was slated to play Sita, dropped out of the production due to scheduling conflicts. Having said that, Ranbir is very much a part of the project, and Yash is set to play Ravan in KGF.

According to previous reports, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan is backed by one of the world’s most significant visual effects studios. The cast for the film is one of the largest ever assembled for an Indian film. The film’s production will commence towards the end of this year. It will be produced on a grand scale, with high-octane aesthetics.

Meanwhile, Alia was most recently seen in Heart Of Stone, which marked her Hollywood debut. Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan starred in the film. On August 11, it was made available on Netflix. She is also working on Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Aside from that, Alia will allegedly share screen time with Kareena Kapoor Khan in a Dharma production. Kareena and Alia stunned their followers a few days ago by posting a series of photos on social media. Alia and Kareena were photographed posing in ethnic outfits.

“Can it get any better…P.S. Can someone please cast us in a film together…even though we spend most of our time on set thinking,” they captioned the post.
