Ajay Devgn recently created waves at the box office with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. The entertaining action filled cop drama got panned and praised by both the critics and audience. It is third in line in Rohit’s Singham franchise. The actor was interviewed and asked his stand on masculine characters in Bollywood.
Citing examples of Jackie Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan and Sunny Deol during a conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, the actor opened up about how these actors used to put up a display of being real men on the silver screen. Singham Again actor said this is lacking in male actors in film industry as per his understanding.
Ajay said that in today’s time, we don’t see a dominating male personality. “All are boys; you don’t see men-men. In the earlier generation, we saw men—even in my generation, from Jackie Shroff to Amitabh Bachchan, they were all men.”
Speaking of Singham Again, apart from Ajay, the movie also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, and it has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark at the box office collection.
