Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are featured as guests in the latest teaser for Koffee With Karan season 8. Ajay, who previously appeared on the show alongside his spouse Kajol, appears to be at the peak of his impulsive behaviour. When asked to pick a “sworn enemy,” he went so far as to take host Karan Johar’s name.
Karan posted the promo on Instagram with the caption: “This dynamic duo is bringing their signature ‘explosive’ fun to the Koffee couch this week!” Karan questions Ajay in the rapid-fire round at the end of the promo, asking, “Do you have a sworn enemy in the industry and if it is, who?” With his first response, “Once upon a time, you,” Ajay leaves him speechless. In response, Karan exclaims, “I got such a shock,” while holding his throat.
When Ajay and Karan’s Shivaay and the latter’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collided in October 2016, the two were in conflict. Even Karan and Kajol had to put their friendship on hold as a result of this until they all got back together a few years later.
Ajay collaborated with Rohit Shetty on the Singham and Golmaal film franchises. Next up for him is Singham Again, starring Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar.
Karan asks Ajay in the first scene of the Koffee With Karan trailer if he overreacts to success. In response, Rohit Shetty states on his behalf, “I followed him and Salman. If the film is a blockbuster, they are sitting outside their van and chilling. If the film, if it has not done well, they are sitting outside their van and chilling.”
