After Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest with regards to Sushant Singh’s death, the whole Bollywood is now under the watch of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and has revealed many connections to drugs. The case and the angle of drug abuse in SSR’s death case are spread all over the country via the media. On this, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has claimed that the Government is using Sushant Singh’s demise as a source of distraction for people and is evading them from questioning about many important issues in the country such as COVID-19, tension at the Indo-China border and many more.

In a recent conversation with Faye D’Souza, Anurag Kashyap said, “The Government built everything around SSR’s death as an introductory distraction but now it has gotten out of their hand. Not even the politicians can control it. They started with who murdered with Sushant Singh Rajput and now it has become a drug scandal. Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput has now become justice for Kangana now. The distraction keeps shifting.”

Further, he added that, “There is a narrative being built around Sushant Singh and everybody is parroting it. Why is no one asking questions?” He said, “The purpose of NCB is to stop the distribution of drugs and not go after somebody who is using small amounts for personal consumption.” The filmmaker continued to allege that Government Departments such as the NCB, ED are serving the government’s purpose of distraction.
