After two unsuccessful attempts by Aryan’s lawyer for his bail. The layers had finally knocked High Court. Where after two days of arguments provided by Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi representing Aryan, senior advocate Amit Desai representing Arbaaz Merchant and advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh representing Munmun Dhamecha, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Anil Singh along with Advocate Shreeram Shirsat and Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Advait Sethna for the NCB.

On Thursday, ASG Anil Singh responded to the arguments put forward by Rohatgi, Desai, and Deshmukh over the last two days. Singh undertook his argument by asserting that, “Aryan Khan is a regular consumer of drugs. There is evidence to prove that he has been providing drugs.”
Sing further added that, “This case is about conscious possession and planning to consume.” He pointed out that even though the drugs were found on Arbaaz, both Aryan and Arbaaz planned to go on the cruise together. “And they say they are going inside to have a “blast”.

However, AG Rohatgi contradicted the conspiracy allegation and asserted, “There was no conspiracy because there was no meeting of minds. There was no discussion that they met and decided that they will get the substance and smoke, that is a conspiracy. Their argument is that because it is not a coincidence it is a conspiracy. Conspiracy can’t have anything to do with conjecture.”

The special anti-drugs court that refuted his bail last week said he knew about charas hidden in his friend Arbaaz Merchant’s shoe, and this charged to “conscious possession”. Arbaaz Merchant was also charged along with Aryan and 18 others.
