Sara Ali Khan starrer Ae Watan Mere Watan will be premiered on the 21st of March. Ahead of the movie’s release, a new poster has been unveiled. The new key visual features Emraan Hashmi, who was completely unrecognizable in his new avatar. Emraan was seen wearing black-rimmed spectacles and a Nehru cap. The actor will portray the role of Ram Manohar Lohia in the film.

Emraan took to his Instagram account and shared the poster. He captioned the post by writing, “channelling the fearless voice of independence.” The actor stunned in his new avatar. He looked determined and strong-willed, ready to raise his voice against the British.


As soon as the poster went viral, fans flooded the comment section with heartfelt comments. A user wrote, “This is not the avatar I ever imagined Emraan Hashmi to be in,” another stated, “Wow 2000s kid in me cant digest this version of emraan.” A netizen commented, “You are on fireee.”

Later on, Emraan even took to his Instagram Stories and shared a picture of Ram Manohar Lohia and confirmed that he would be playing the latter’s role. Ram Manohar Lohia was a prominent personality, who was known for working with Congress Radio. This service was essentially vital during the 1940s and was set up in several locations in Bombay.

Ae Watan Mere Watan stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Productions. The film revolves around a young woman Usha Rani, who set up a radio station to create awareness regarding the brutal atrocities of the British. It helped in uniting the people against the colonial rule.
