Actor Mohit Raina of ‘Dev Ke Dev- Mahadev’ fame has recently filed a case against four persons who reportedly started the ‘Mohit Bachao (Save Mohit)’ campaign on social media. The police have charged four people, including Sara Sharma, with extorting money from the actor. The case was filed when the judge instructed the police to do so. On June 6, a case was filed at Goregaon Police Station in Mumbai under Section 384 IPC against Mohit’s self-proclaimed well-wisher Sara and her pals Parveen Sharma, Aashiv Sharma, and Mithilesh Tiwari on directions of the Borivali Court.
According to the police, the four persons propagated rumours that Mohit’s life was in danger, similar to that of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The four have been charged with criminal conspiracy, providing false information to police, and threatening and demanding money.
Mohit had tested positive for the new coronavirus in April. “After testing positive for COVID-19 last week I have been in safe medical hands of the Doctors of the state where I am based since last month . Everyday I see a gamut of human emotions. we are okay coz of them . Least we could Just stay indoors. Will see you guys on the other side . Love MR,” he had written on Instagram.
Mohit is most recognised for his role in the popular film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, in addition to ‘Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev.’ He has also impressed fans with his performance in the online series ‘Kaafir.’
