Aamir Khan recently got candid about his decision to quit films. The actor shared that he had reached the conclusion before Laal Singh Chadha, but it was his children – Junaid Khan and Ira Khan – who convinced him not to give on the films entirely.
During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the superstar stated that it was during the COVID-19 pandemic when he realized that perhaps he has not been there enough for his relationship with his children, wife, sibling. “I went through that emotional moment where I felt that I’ve given my whole life to cinema and I’ve not been there for my family… So I called my family and said, ‘Listen I’m not going to do films anymore. I want to spend time with you guys’,” added Aamir.
Further ahead, the Dangal star revealed how his son Junaid convinced him to not quit on films. His son made him understand that he was going from one extreme to another. Junaid explained, “Somewhere in the middle also there is a space that you can be in. You can do films, and you can be with us.”
Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chadha, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. It was the official remake of Hollywood superhit Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
