Aamir Khan has officially revealed that Shah Rukh Khan would make a cameo presence in his forthcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir explained in a new interview how he persuaded Shah Rukh to be a part of the film. However, Aamir did not indicate which part Shah Rukh will play.
Aamir portrays the title character in Laal Singh Chaddha. The story follows Laal (Aamir) as he pursues his aspirations and love. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya.
When asked how he convinced Shah Rukh to have a cameo, Aamir told Canadian film journalist Alexandra, “Well, Shah Rukh is a buddy, and I told him that I wanted someone who could symbolise what Elvis (Presley) meant in America.” I need India’s most famous celebrity, which is why I’m going to you (laughs). He was quite nice and responded, ‘Yes.'”
So yet, Shah Rukh and the Laal Singh Chaddha crew, which includes Aamir, have not commented on his involvement in the film. Shah Rukh Khan hosted an Ask Me Anything event on Twitter earlier this year. “Laal Singh Chaddha dekhi (Did you watch Laal Singh Chaddha)?” a fan had inquired. He had said, “Aamir asks, “First, show me Pathaan!” #Pathaan”
The official Hindi version of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump from the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump is titled Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie, supported by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions, is set to open on August 11 in countries.
